It is standards set by the timeshare exchange companies that govern the South African timeshare industry, - either to rate resorts or week modules according to demand.   Owners of timeshare will be reassured that an affiliation to these timeshare exchange companies ensure a resort of choice will meet exacting standards of accommodation.   It is for this reason that Rodjun Timeshare Consultants cc deal only in affiliated resorts.

Timeshare Exchange Companies
Throughout the timeshare industry, it is accepted that when holidaying, variety adds to the fun and enjoyment.   This variety is made possible through services provided by Timeshare Exchange Companies, who have a large selection of Worldwide and South African timeshare resorts from which to choose.
Timeshare Exchange Spacebanking Procedure

“Spacebanking” is the term given to the deposit of a timeshare week into an exchange system, and equates to a certain value in trading power.    Spacebanking works on a system of a fair exchange.   Therefore, if you own a 3 bedroom unit in a gold crown resort in High season, all options are open to you.   However, if you own a 1 bedroom unit in a low demand season, in a Standard resort, you may only be able to exchange for a 1 bedroom in low season time in a similar resort.

What about giving your beloved that holiday in N.Z. or Australia?

Fortunately, timeshare allows many South Africans to continue travelling as one of the biggest expenses would be hotel accommodation and food.   The average levy for a week in a 2 bedroom unit (sleeps 6) is around R3,500/R4,000. per annum, together with the international exchange fee.   Based on this, one week’s accommodation for the family of 6 would cost less than R150 p.p. per day.   Prices like this make dreams of exotic destinations much more realistic.
Early spacebanking of your timeshare, and requests for the resort exchange that you desire, will ensure a better chance of getting the holiday of your choice.

When making your choice as to what to buy, it is important to remember, that to spacebank and exchange for overseas destinations, you generally can only do so on a “Like to Like” basis.
In the long run, the purchase made should be the best for your budget as well as your needs.
