How Timeshare works You need to analyse your holiday requirements carefully and to choose that which is going to provide the best results for you. This is a vital point, and we are always careful to assist buyers in this regard.
South Africa has one of the fastest growing timeshare markets, and has a thriving resale industry. We can offer South African timeshare resorts on the resale market that are easily comparable with the finest in Europe and the USA. As you read this through, may we suggest that you make a note of any questions you would like us to answer.
Ongoing Expense involved with Timeshare Ownership At this point, we feel we need to mention this matter:
- You have made your choice – paid your purchase price and costs, and now the ongoing cost will be your annual levy payment, which will be invoiced to you (the owner).
- None of us look forward to accounts, but it is necessary to pay this levy to cover maintenance costs and refurbishment - costs to maintain the standard of quality of your timeshare resort. There is also a management fee for all the administration requirements.
- An Annual General Meeting is held where all timeshare owners can have their say and be kept updated with what is happening at their resort.
The Resale Procedure As the resale transaction is between two private parties, the process is as follows:
- Once the decision to buy has been made, the parties will complete and sign the relevant documents, and the buyer will be required to lodge the purchase price plus costs of transfer to a trust bank a/c pending transfer.
- We then check that all levies and finance has been paid by the Seller, together with the availability for the year of occupation.
- Once these requirements are met, we then arrange the transfer through the Transferring company. Once transfer has been confirmed, we disburse the proceeds in terms of the agreement.
- The sale is now completed.
We would like to assure our clients that Rodjun Timeshare Consultants cc uses a properly constituted Trust a/c with Fidelity Fund Insurance Cover, and all monies held in the Trust a/c are safe whilst transfer is pending.
